A little about me...

When you purchase art from an artist you are buying a piece of their heart and soul…

The journey to create art is fun, torturous, exciting and excruciating!

Being a self taught artist, it has taken me years of practice, trial, error, and frustration

as well as total joyful accomplishment to learn what I’ve learned. I love painting faces

as they eyes are the window to the soul and I spend a lot of effort making sure that comes

through for the viewer. I feel my best work is when I am free with a palette knife and

find my groove.

I pour 100% of my energy, mental, and physical (standing in one spot

without moving for 10 hours some crazy days) into my work.

Some days it totally lifts me up and I am so darn inspired…. Some days

it makes me so tired I feel like I ran a 100 mile marathon!

The process for me is organic, I don’t plan colors, I don’t plan what

style I will end up with, I have no idea how long I will paint when I start,

– some days dinner never gets made as I am totally lost in it and so surprised at how

long I was gone!

I totally love to be creative with paint, I have no idea what I am doing most of the

time, it just flows through me. Most of my work goes through an “ugly” phase, in

which I have to spend some time fixing what I thought was going well, that is

until I step back far enough to fully see it!!

Because I paint oversized work and get lost in the details,

and use both paint brush and palette knives with no plans,

there is tons of room for great work and also huge mistakes!

I hope I have shared a piece of the process for you so you may be able to appreciate

the good the bad and the final of what I do, it is a labor of love for sure, and it is

many many hours of my life’s trials and errors to create each and every piece.

Thanks for supporting all artists everywhere – thanks for supporting me in whatever way you

feel you can, it truly means everything to me…

by sharing my work with someone who would appreciate it, or by

adding something you like to your collection even if you are starting to collect…  please know

that without YOU –  it just wouldn’t be possible to continue!

"I have always been captivated by the beauty of nature and the vivid colors and textures that surround us. Growing up in Ontario, I was surrounded by the natural world and I found myself constantly inspired by the animals and the stunning scenery that surrounded me. It was this love of nature that would go on to shape my artistic style, and that has driven my passion for painting to this day.
