About Liz
I am a self-taught artist, shaped by years of trial, error, and persistence. My work is driven by instinct rather than planning—I don’t map out colours or outcomes. I paint until the piece reveals itself.
I often work for hours at a time, completely absorbed, losing track of everything around me. Much of the process moves through uncertainty, with pieces evolving through rough stages before coming together.
I work primarily with bold colour, brush, and palette knife, creating oversized pieces that carry both energy and imperfection—where some of the strongest work often emerges.
I’ve always been drawn to the beauty of nature—its colour, texture, and movement. Growing up in Ontario, surrounded by landscapes and wildlife, shaped the foundation of my work and continues to influence how I paint today.
Selected exhibitions and collaborations include Princess Margaret Homes & Cottages and designer showroom features in Toronto.
Works are held in private collections.
